Section 2: Production Agriculture

Production agriculture, or producing and selling agricultural goods, is the leading industry of North Dakota. About one-fourth of all the money earned in North Dakota comes from production agriculture. This industry brings billions of dollars into the state each year. Farms and ranches in North Dakota cover over 39 million acres, or about 90 percent of all the land in North Dakota.
