To help meet grade 4 course requirements, the North Dakota Studies program at the State Historical Society of North Dakota offers six units and accompanying teacher resources to help teach the geography, history, government, citizenship, and agriculture of the state.
These units are available in both print textbooks and web based formats. The print textbooks are available for a fee. (Please see order form.) Five of the six units are now available in an interactive, mobile-optimized format.
In addition, the North Dakota Studies program has produced and publishes a Habitats of North Dakota series to supplement the six units for grade 4.
