Let's play 6 degrees of separation, the agriculture edition! How many degrees (or people) are you away from the farm industry in North Dakota? Draw a web diagram to illustrate how closely you are tied.
For example, if I work with someone whose husband sells seed to a farmer, my diagram would have me connected to my coworker, who is connected to her husband who is connected to the farmer. Do this as many times as you can in the next 10 minutes. Be sure to label the relations so we can see how the connections are made. (Many kids may be in farm families, so they don't have a separation, but have them see if they can find connections they have to other farmers or ranchers).
